A skillful bowler who can bowl express pace, a hard-hitting lower-order batter and, an excellent fielder, Jofra Archer is a livewire and a fierce competitor on the field. Known for raw pace, Archer made his TATA IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in 2018. He continued to play for the franchise for three years and performed impressively, and during that period Archer also played a key role in England’s 2019 ODI World Cup victory. In the 2020 edition, the Englishman picked up 20 wickets at an impressive strike rate of 16.70. He contributed impressively with the bat too in that edition with quick-fire finishes lower down the order which earned him the MVP award that season. He was onboarded by Mumbai Indians in 2022 but injuries have forced him to stay in and out of action in the last 2-3 years. Archer returned to RR ahead of IPL 2025 for a whopping INR 12.50 Crore. After an inconsistent IPL season in 2025, Archer will be keen to make a massive impact in 2026 and he is crucial to RR’s title hopes.
